We are seeking candidates for the position of School Bus Driver Coordinator (Dispatcher) to begin immediately. The responsibilities include: Coordinating and scheduling HHH school bus drivers, with primary responsibility for planning bus runs and assigning drivers to ensure efficient and reliable student transportation coverage. Assigning drivers and vehicles to daily bus routes and for transportation to events such as athletics, music and field trips. Developing and coordinating bus route schedules to ensure safe, timely, and efficient transportation services for HHH students. Operating a school bus on occasion as needed Routinely checking bus stops Assisting in the development and design of map templates, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to organizational standards. Requires the appropriate license by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles Salary: $61,890.40 Important note: This is a provisional position. The successful candidate must take the Suffolk County Civil Service School Bus Driver Coordinator exam when it is offered, and then be reachable on the list of available candidates once it is released.
