Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher (K-8) to join our team. The teacher willbe responsible for creating a supportive learning environment, meeting instructional goals, andadhering to professional standards and school policies.Key Responsibilities: Plan and implement instructional activities tailored to students' individual needs Utilize Reading Milestones and Fundations programs to support literacy development Establish a positive and respectful classroom environment, including adherence to safetyand behavioral protocols Evaluate student progress through assessments and work aligned with their IEP goals Collaborate with staff to enhance student learning and support IEP objectives Integrate technology and electronic tools to enhance instruction Participate in professional development and attend required meetings Serve as a positive role model for students and staff Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and proceduresQualifications: Valid New York State Teacher Certification in Special Education Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred Knowledge of Reading Milestones and Fundations programs is required Strong interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated integrity, ethical behavior, and commitment to student successStarting Salary: $52,288 - $72,056
