High School Science Special Education TeacherJob Description:We are seeking a dedicated Science Special Education Teacher to join our team. The teacherwill be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment, meeting instructional goals,and adhering to professional standards and school policies.Key Responsibilities:- Plan and implement instructional activities tailored to students' individual needs- Utilize evidence-based strategies and programs to support literacy and academicdevelopment- Establish a positive and respectful classroom environment, including adherence tosafety and behavioral protocols- Evaluate student progress through assessments and work aligned with their IEP goals- Collaborate with staff to enhance student learning and support IEP objectives- Integrate technology and electronic tools to enhance instruction- Participate in professional development and attend required meetings- Serve as a positive role model for students and staff- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and proceduresQualifications:- Valid New York State Teacher Certification in Special Education- Valid New York State Teacher Certification in a Science content area (Grades 7–12)- Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred- Knowledge of curriculum and strategies for supporting learners- Strong interpersonal and communication skills- Demonstrated integrity, ethical behavior, and commitment to student successStarting Salary:$52,288 - $72,056
