Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Leave Replacement Special Education Teacher (K-8) to join our team. The teacher will be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment, meeting instructional goals, and adhering to professional standards and school policies.Key Responsibilities:Plan and implement instructional activities tailored to students' individual needsUtilize Reading Milestones and Foundations programs to support literacy developmentEstablish a positive and respectful classroom environment, including adherence to safety and behavioral protocolsEvaluate student progress through assessments and work aligned with their IEP goalsCollaborate with staff to enhance student learning and support IEP objectivesIntegrate technology and electronic tools to enhance instructionParticipate in professional development and attend required meetingsServe as a positive role model for students and staffMaintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and proceduresQualifications:Valid New York State Teacher Certification in Special EducationExperience with students with disabilities preferredKnowledge of Reading Milestones and Foundations programs is requiredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated integrity, ethical behavior, and commitment to student successSalary:$52,288 - $72,056.
