G&D Schoolhouse is seeking a nurse for our special education preschool program. Our preschool provides services to children from 3 to 5 years of age with developmental delays and other needs.Qualifications: NYS Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nursing License CPR certification Pediatric experience (preferred)Strong interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-taskMust have strong command of the English language, written and spoken Friendly, caring, outgoing personality Ability to proficiently navigate Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office softwareExperience working in high-volume work environment where organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential. Responsibilities: Will work with Director to review and update Healthcare Plan, Policy, and Procedures annually or as needed, to ensure health and safety of all students. Responsible for the overview of the healthcare needs of all students during the school dayOverseeing students' daily healthcare needsAdministering medications, treatments, and specialized procedures as prescribed by healthcare professionals, as necessary. Monitor and assess students' health conditions and promptly respond to emergencies or medical concernsCollaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized health plans for students with special healthcare needsMaintain security of school health supplies and students' medicationsAssist in management and tracking of children's medical records such as immunization and annual physicalsMaintain confidentiality of information Performs other duties as assigned by director Pay: Per conversation with directorsBenefits: Candidates will discuss with director preferred type of employment with benefits or contact hourly position.
