G&D Therapy is seeking Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants for our various programs throughout Sullivan County, New York. We are seeking compassionate, motivated individuals to provide occupational therapy services to children with developmental delays and other needs. Qualifications: New York State Occupational Therapy Assistant License Pediatric experience (preferred)Strong interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, and ability to multitask. Must have strong command of English language, written and spoken Friendly, caring, outgoing personalityAbility to proficiently navigate Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office software Experience working in a high-volume work environment where organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential Responsibilities:Provide Occupational Therapy services under the supervision of an OTRFollow children's Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)Plan and provide individual and/or group therapy according to the child's IEP/IFSPPerform routine documentation of performance and adjust goals and treatment as necessaryCommunicate with other professionals such as speech therapists, physical therapists, program director, teacher, behavioral therapist, school psychologist, social worker, etc., as necessaryParticipate in in-services and/or training programs, as appropriateConsults with director and teachers regarding arrangement of appropriate schedules for students' therapiesImplements therapy as directed for children with delays in fine motor skills, sensory processing, etc. Interacts in professional manner with students and parents, available for conferences, participates in IEP/IFSP development, implementation, and CPSE/CSE meetings, as necessaryMaintains and submits reports, records, and correspondence in a timely and accurate manner. Maintains appropriate confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters. Demonstrates initiative in identifying potential problemsAssumes responsibility for supervising students in their care. Reports potential problems, unusual events, etc. to supervisory staffAbility to use technology to communicate, manage data, and to produce/submit required reportsPerforms any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor/program director Pay: $25-$30 per hour, depending upon experience.
