G&D Schoolhouse is seeking Speech-Language Pathologists for our special education preschool and Early Intervention programs. Our special education preschool provides services to children ages 3-5 years of age with developmental delays and other needs. We are seeking compassionate, motivated individuals to provide appropriate services to our students with language, speech, or hearing disorders. Qualifications: Master's Degree in Communication DisordersNew York State SLP License (required)New York State TSSLDPediatric experience (preferred)Strong interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-taskMust have strong command of the English language, written and spoken Friendly, caring, outgoing personalityAbility to proficiently navigate Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office softwareExperience working in a high-volume work environment where organizational and multi-tasking skills are essentialResponsibilities: Provide Speech Language Therapy services to children through early intervention and preschool special education programsServices are provided at office location or preschool location For children in Preschool Program - will follow child's Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and the goals within the planFor children in Early Intervention - will follow children's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and the goals within the planMaintain all records in compliance with Medicaid/county/state regulations Plan and provide individual and/or group therapy according to child's plan Perform routine documentation of performance, adjust goals, and treatment plan as necessary Communicate with other professionals such as occupational therapists, physical therapists, program director, teacher, behavioral therapist, school psychologist, social workers, etc., as necessaryParticipate in in-services and/or training programs, as appropriateDevelop long and short-term goals for students on your caseloadConsults with director and teacher regarding arrangement of appropriate schedules for students' servicesImplements therapy as directed for children with communication disorders and delays. Implements individualized education plans or designated curriculum.Refers students to other school personnel for special servicesInteracts in a professional manner with students and parents, available for conferences, and participates as needed in IEP development, implementation, and CPSE meetings.Provides consultative services to general or special education teachersMaintains and submits reports, records, and correspondence in a timely and accurate manner. Maintains appropriate confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters. Demonstrates initiative in identifying potential problems. Assumes responsibility for supervising students in their care. Reports potential problems, unusual events, etc. to supervisory staff. Performs any other job-related duties assigned by the director of program. Pay: Salary begins at $72,000 and is based upon experience.
