The successful candidate will begin on or about September 1, 2025. This is a full-time probationary appointment leading toward tenure. Preference given to an elementary teacher with NYS certification Birth-2nd & 1st-6th. Initial assignment is anticipated to be in at Brownville Glen-Park Elementary.Responsibilities:Challenge and educate students in a classroom settingDevelop and implement standards-based and engaging lesson plansAdhere to the established teaching curriculumMaintain positive relationships with students and parentsDocument and share student grades and evaluationsMaintain the health and safety of all studentsCollaborate with special education and academic intervention servicesQualifications:Strong classroom management skillsAbility to build rapport with students, parents, and staffExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.Strong leadership qualitiesIn accordance with New York State certification requirements for B-2 & 1-6Certification is preferred, but applicants pursuing certification (nearing completion) are also encouraged to applyPreference given to applicants with multiple certifications Application deadline is May 16, 2025.Salary and Benefits: Competitive and commensurate with experience- As outlined in the most recent GBTA Collective Bargaining Agreement
