The General Brown CSD has a vacancy for the 2024-2025 School Year in our World Language Department. Consideration given to a World Language Teacher with certification in French, Spanish, Chinese, or American Sign Language (ASL). Responsibilities:Challenge and educate students in a classroom settingDevelop and implement engaging lesson plansAdhere to the established teaching curriculumMaintain positive relationships with students and parentsDocument and share student grades and evaluationsMaintain the health and safety of all studentsCollaborate with special education and academic intervention servicesQualifications:Strong classroom management skillsAbility to build rapport with students, parents, and staffExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong leadership qualitiesIn accordance with New York State certification requirements World Language 7-12Certification is preferred, but applicants interested in pursuing certification are also encouraged to applyPreference given to applicants with multiple certifications Application deadline is February 23, 2024Salary and Benefits: Competitive and commensurate with experience- As outlined in the most recent GBTA Collective Bargaining Agreement
