Required Qualifications:Candidates must possess a NYS Elementary Teacher certification.Experience working with young children is preferred.Salary: Per current FPTA contract; level of education and experience will be considered.This position reports to the Building Principal. The Elementary Teacher will be responsible for providing generalized instruction to students in an elementary classroom setting.The ideal candidate will:Have a strong understanding of best practices for teaching, learning and assessmentUse developmentally appropriate strategies to promote student engagement with the contentCreate a positive learning environmentPossess strong verbal and written communication skillsBuild positive relationships with colleaguesPromote family engagement whenever possible
