Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)General OverviewA Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) supports students and advocates for their emotional, mental, and physical well-being. The duties include counseling students, conducting group counseling, and providing resources in line with students' needs. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) RoleThis position reports to the Committee on Special Education Chair for the Fort Plain Central School District. The salary/pay scale is on the teacher's bargaining unit. Job QualificationsLCSWSocial Work Certification Experience working in schools with students ranging from middle school to high schoolThe LCSW will collaborate with teachers, parents, and school leaders. The main function of the LCSW is to improve the general well-being of the students. The LCSW will serve as the case manager for students that have aggressive behavior, frequent absences, and bullying tendencies. The candidate should have experience and training regarding self-awareness and the psychological impacts of trauma. The LCSW will be responsible to assess and monitor student progress as related to social- emotional development. The candidate will be expected to develop and implement FBAs and BIPs. The candidate will need to provide social and emotional instruction to students based on restorative justice or like programs. In addition, the candidate will be expected to provide counseling to students as needed.
