Summary: A 1:1 Aide works directly with a scholar in a general education or special education setting. This individual assists in meeting the daily academic, social-behavioral, and physical need of the child. Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom objectives and meeting IEP GoalsImplements special education and related services strategies as directed by the therapistAssist in implementation of Individualized Education Plan and Behavior Intervention PlanAide in collecting data related to behavior, academics, and social interactionsProvide support for individual scholar inside/outside the classroom to fully participate in activitiesAdheres to scholar’s daily schedule and behavior plan to maintain a safe and positive learning environmentAssist with academic and social/behavioral goals under the direction of the classroom and special education teachersAttend to hygiene needs of assigned scholar, including toileting and dressing as neededAttends meetings and in-service presentations/trainings for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveying information relative to job functionsOther duties as assigned, based on scholar needsApply on OLAS
