Job DescriptionSummary: The Behavior Support Specialist employed at Finn Academy: An Elmira Charter School, under the direct supervision of the School Leader and working as a member of the RtI and KidTalk teams, provides a variety of strategies and techniques to serve at-risk behavioral scholars behavior support in accordance with their individualized needs. General Responsibilities:Implement behavioral strategies and program modifications in accordance with scholar’s individual needs.Assist teachers in implementing behavior support plans and behavior intervention plans.Support in the collection and analysis of data on scholar behavior.Provide descriptions of behavior in observable and measurable terms.Participate as a member of the Response to Intervention and KidTalk Teams.Provide reinforcement to scholars as they engage in appropriate behavior.Implement all necessary procedures to support scholars in the learning environment.Assist in crisis and/or emergency procedures according to protocol.
