POSITION: Librarian (PT) - Regional Summer High School at Bay Shore 2025 ASSIGNMENT: July 1, 2025 – August 14, 2025 SITE/BUILDING: Bay Shore High School Bay Shore Middle School 155 Third Avenue - or - 393 Brook Avenue Bay Shore, NY 11706 Bay Shore, NY 11706 QUALIFICATIONS: · NYS Library Media Specialist/School Media Specialist Certification· Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environmentRESPONSIBILITIES:· Will collaborate with teaching staff and support classroom instruction in all content areas offered in the Regional Summer School Program· Offers guided lessons with digital resources that are available in the host district’s library media center and equipment when asked to do so· Promotes and shares free digital resources to both students and staff alike in order for students to conduct essential research needed in their course of study >>> Important to note that you MUST be in attendance on the following dates: <<<Registration Days: July 1, 2025 and July 2, 2025(Registration hours are from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)Classes held: July 7, 2025 – August 14, 2025 (Monday – Thursday)(Program hours are from 7:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.)THESE POSITIONS ARE DEPENDENT UPON STUDENT ENROLLMENT AND DISTRICT COMMITMENT FOR SUMMER SERVICES START DATE: July 1, 2025SALARY: $51.90/hourStudies show that women and members of some groups are more likely to underestimate their qualifications for a position.
