Teaching Assistants (PT) - Regional Summer High School at Bay Shore 2025POSITION: Teaching Assistants (PT) - Regional Summer High School at Bay Shore 2025 ASSIGNMENT: July 7, 2025 – August 21, 2025 SITE/BUILDING: Bay Shore High School Bay Shore Middle School 155 Third Avenue - or - 393 Brook Avenue Bay Shore, NY 11706 Bay Shore, NY 11706 QUALIFICATIONS: · Appropriate NYS Certification required· Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environmentRESPONSIBILITIES:· Provides additional support to the classroom teacher in order for student learning objectives and outcomes to be met by all students· Takes direction by the classroom teacher when it comes to both instructional and classroom management needs· Communicates with all staff, administrators, and parents/guardians when called upon to do so >>> Important to note that you MUST be in attendance on the following dates: <<<Classes held: July 7, 2025 – August 14, 2025 (Monday - Thursday)(Program hours are from 7:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.)Regents Exam & Scoring Days: August 19, 20, and 21, 2025(Regents Exam & Scoring Day hours are from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)Final Reporting Day: August 21, 2025(Final Reporting Day hours are from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)THESE POSITIONS ARE DEPENDENT UPON STUDENT ENROLLMENT AND DISTRICT COMMITMENT FOR SUMMER SERVICES START DATE: July 7, 2025SALARY: $18.06/hour (requires full attendance)May have the opportunity to assist two (2) sectionsRegents assignments may create the opportunity for additional payStudies show that women and members of some groups are more likely to underestimate their qualifications for a position.
