Effective date of employment: July 1, 2025Responsibilities: The Director of Physical Education/Health and Athletics is primarily responsible for providing leadership and administrative oversight for all aspects of the district’s K-12 Physical Education and Health Education programs along with the Interscholastic Athletic Program and School Nurses.Qualifications: The successful candidate will have had prior successful experience as a Director of Physical Education/Health and Athletics or as a districtwide or building administrator and/or as a Physical Education and Health teacher. Qualifications of particular importance include: experience in successfully implementing PE and Health Ed programs; providing leadership and vision for the Athletic program; demonstrated success in working with student, parent, staff and community groups; and demonstrated success as a teacher and/or administrator.Requirements: NY State certification as School District Administrator or School District Leader and certification to teach Physical Education/Health.
