Location: District Office Effective: July 2023Responsibilities: The Director of Technology will provide leadership and assume management responsibility for the direction, coordination, support and implementation of instructional and administrative technology across all school district buildings and departments. The director supervises the Technology Support Staff and reports to the Assistant Superintendent for Business.Acts as primary resource to the superintendent and other administrative staff in assessing the district’s technology needsManages maintenance and upkeep of the district’s network and technology infrastructureDevelopment of 3-year district technology plan and annual department budgetExperience in the Google Workspace for Education platformInstructional and administrative technology project managementCyber security technology project management and implementation and compliance with NYSED guidelines and best practicesDistrict wide video surveillance and access control systems technologyEvaluates and formulates administrative recommendations for the acquisition of educational/administrative hardware, software and servicesServes as an ex officio member of the District’s Technology CommitteeQualifications: New York State Administrative Certification (SDL, SAS, SDA)Compensation: Pursuant to agreement between the District and The Elwood Council of Administrators - competitive for region.
