Position: Elwood Schools District-wide Substitute Nurse (Grades K-12)Hours: Start and end time will vary depending on the building requiring coverage.Effective: January 2026Position Overview: Provides substitute coverage as needed in all schools serving kindergarten through high school. The School District-wide Substitute Nurse will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of students in grades K-12.Performance Responsibilities:• Administer student health assessment, medication, and treatments in accordance with established first aid protocol and procedure.• Administer first aid and emergency aid in accordance with established first aid protocol and procedure.• Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date health records.• Assist with hearing, vision, and scoliosis screenings.• Ensure that all NYS health requirements are met.Qualifications: Valid NYS Registered Professional Nursing License is required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred. Ability to obtain BLS CPR certification.
