Location: John Glenn High School – may vary as needed Effective: December 2022 Hours: 5:45 am – 1:45 pm Desirable Skills: The successful candidate will assist the cook and assume responsibility for the kitchen and cafeteria staff in their absence. Good knowledge of preparation of food and maintenance of a school kitchen. Good knowledge of the use and care of utensils and equipment in a school cafeteria. Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to perform light manual labor. Assist in maintaining inventory records and ordering provisions. Requirements: Candidates are encouraged to hold a current Suffolk County Department of Health Food Manager’s Certificate. Compensation: Salary and benefits in accordance with the contract between the District and the Elwood Cafeteria Staff Association.
