Location: Elwood-John Glenn High School Effective: September 2026 Description: The Elwood UFSD is seeking a highly qualified/certified English Language Arts teacher for a full-time secondary teaching position at the high school level. The candidate must have a strong knowledge of how to design and deliver rigorous, student-centered lesson plans that align with the NYS Next Generation ELA Standards for grades 9–12. Experience differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students, including ELLs, Students with Disabilities, and Advanced Placement students. Implement a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) by analyzing student performance data to adjust instructional pacing and design targeted interventions. Maintain strong classroom management and an engaging learning environment. Effectively utilize instructional technology to enhance student learning Qualifications: Valid NYS Certification in English Language Arts (7-12). Preferred: Additional certification in TESOL. Additional certification in Students with Disabilities (All Grades). . Compensation: In accordance with the contract between the District and the Elwood Teacher’s Alliance.
