Location: Elwood-John Glenn High SchoolHours: 7:26am -2:36pm (6.5 paid hours with 44 minutes unpaid lunch)Effective: September 2024Description: This position is in a self-contained classroom working with students with disabilities. Skills Required: The ideal candidate will have recent experience working with students who have significant learning and/or behavioral challenges. Experience with deescalating behaviors and data collection preferred. Applicants must be kind, caring, patient and capable of communicating with our students in a positive manner. Qualifications: Current certification as a Teaching Assistant or classroom teacher or eligibility for NYS Teaching Assistant certification. Teaching Certification Special Education/Students with Disabilities is desirable, as is experience working with students with learning and/or behavioral challenges.
