Anticipated:Minimum requirements are NYS Teaching Assistant certification and some experience working with children of school age. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Reinforcement of lessons presented by teachers by reviewing material with students one-on-one or in small groupsAssisting students with understanding appropriate behavior in the school and in classroomsAssisting teachers with attendance, grades, modification of learning materialsAssisting teachers with preparation for lessons - eg.) getting materials ready or setting up equipment, such as computers, labs, etc.Supervising students in class, between classes, during lunch and recess, and on field tripsLeading instructional activities as designed by the classroom teacherNote: Recruitment will begin immediately and be ongoing until suitable candidates are hired at which point the posting will formally close.
