This Director will provide leadership and vision in the ongoing planning, implementation, development, direction, and review of the K-12 instructional programs with an emphasis on the coordination of the elementary and secondary programs. This position leads District Curriculum and Instruction initiatives, such as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), SEL, and Instructional Technology.Minimum 10 of years experience in teaching, leading, administration, or other supervisory roles.Has a range of educational experience with successful teaching and administrative experience. Can communicate with the professional staff, Board of Education, parents, and the community. Has leadership and organizational abilities which allow them to conduct and follow through with in-service projects and curricular innovations. Has expertise in collecting, organizing, managing, and interpreting student performance data. Previous experience in administration and/or similar district office administrative position. Strong track record of developing successful instructional programming for ELL students. Strong knowledge base regarding instructional technology tools and design. Is a collaborative leader who can build a shared vision by working cooperatively with colleagues and the school community. Has current knowledge of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, APPR, Common Core Standards, MTSS, and Student Assessments and has experience in Assessment Data Analysis and Professional Development. Possess an ability to communicate skillfully with a broad range of constituents. Skilled in communication, developing strong interpersonal relationships, and managing conflict; Accessible to students, parents, and staff. Knowledge of NYS Culturally Sustaining Responsive Education Framework Knowledge of and/or willingness to be trained in best practices related to advancing cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion within an educational setting Must hold SDL or equivalent NYS districtwide administrative certificate
