JOB DESCRIPTION: The Edgemont UFSD is seeking (5) candidates to fill temporary Summer Custodial Maintenance Help positions in the Facilities Department. The assignment extends July 1, 2026 - August 31, 2026. Responsibilities (Illustrative Only): Building/classroom cleaning Grounds work Light maintenance work Painting Other related duties as directed by administration. Requirements: Ability to understand and follow directions; Must be honest, thorough, dependable and take initiative; Physical condition commensurate with the duties of the position. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older. Applicants under the age 18 must present valid working papers at time of application. NYSED Fingerprint Clearance* As of February 2, 2026, the total fingerprint application fee is $104.50. Employment Terms: Salary Range: $17.00 per hour Up to 35 hours per week *Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law §§305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES). The Commissioner of Education carries out these responsibilities through the New York State Education Department's Office of School Personnel Review and Accountability (OSPRA). Persons will be hired on a rolling basis. The position may be filled prior to the application deadline.
