Special Education TeacherEdgemont Junior/Senior High School is seeking talented, enthusiastic, innovative candidates for a probationary Special Education teacher position for the 2022-2023 school year. This position is responsible for providing special education services to students in an 8:1:2 setting for our Intensive Communication Achievement Program. The classroom provides instruction in academics, communication, community, and vocational skills utilizing a functional curriculum. Provide special education students with instruction and experiences to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.Knowledgeable about alternative assessment methods for students working towards the Skills and Achievement Commencement Credential (SACC).Collaboration with the teaching assistant, teacher aides, and related service providers.Conduct educational evaluations, and complete progress reports, and annual review reports for the IEP’s.Experience working with students with developmental disabilities and autism.1.0 full time, probationary positionNYS Certification in Special Education Must be NYS fingerprinted
