POSITION: Teaching Assistant (2 positions) Multiple Locations QUALIFICATIONS: Previous background/experience working with students with disabilities. New York State Certified (or certifiable) as a teaching assistant.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are examples of typical duties associated with the position; but the list is not all inclusive, and other duties appropriate to the position may also be assigned. 1. Assist a student in a special educational class setting; skills level classroom. 2. Assist teachers in providing instruction to student. 3. Assist in supervision of student. 4. Participation as required and /or able, on building and district curriculum or program committees; 5. Participation in building planning/problem solving efforts as needed or required.
