POSITION: School Social WorkerFull Time Probationary AppointmentLOCATION: District WideQUALIFICATIONS: New York State certified (or certifiable) as school social worker; familiar with community agencies and resources for parents and children. Ability to work with all age levels a must.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Working with school personnel to support and intervene with at-risk students;2. Participation as required and/or able, on building and district curriculum or program committees;3. Participation in building planning/problem-solving efforts as needed or required;4. Articulation of student program and progress to parents;5. Visitation to homes, as appropriate;6.
