The Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES is seeking qualified candidates for per diem substitute teaching in the following programs:Career & Technical Education (CTE): The Career & Technical Education (CTE) program at Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES provides students with the academic and technical skills, knowledge, and training necessary to succeed in future careers. The program encourages lifelong learning. In total, about 12.5 million high school and college students are enrolled in CTE across the nation.The Compass Program: The Compass Program is an alternative education program for middle and high school students who have experienced difficulty in attaining school success within a traditional learning environment. The program offers small class sizes and individualized support to help prepare students for a Regents diploma.Special Education: The Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES hosts classes for students with disabilities in age appropriate, general education buildings, which ensures the highest possible interaction with their non-disabled peers. The Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES has assumed a prominent position ensuring true access to the general education curriculum for all its students for over 25 years. A commitment for developing a continuum of quality, researched-based programs for our students is in concert with our long-standing commitment of high expectations and access for students.Requirements: A High School Diploma is required. Bachelor's Degree Preferred.Expereince working with children preferred.Fingerprinting clearance through the NYS Education Department will be required.
