A Starting Place is a special education preschool located in Pearl River, NY that cares for children ages 3-5 years old. We are looking for friendly, organized, and adaptable team players that would like to join our family and help make a difference in a child’s early development.The position is for a Full Time OR Part Time NYS Certified Physical Therapist Assistant, days and times are flexible. The Physical Therapist Assistant will collaborate with all disciplines including OT, Speech, School Counselors, and Teaching staff towards achieving the established goals for each individual. The PTA works under the direction of the Physical Therapist (PT/DPT).Provides direct therapy services to students ages 3-5 years old according to students IEPKeeps daily session logs and notes on each child in their caseload. Completes Progress Reports.Updates DPT/Admin of any concerns or modifications needed.Communicates with parents and staff regarding student progressExperience: New Grads WelcomeCertifications: Must have a valid Certified Physical Therapy Assistant (COTA) LicenseHours are: M-F 8:30am - 4:00pm OR Flexible Days/HoursBenefits: (For Full Time employees- after appropriate wait period)Dental InsuranceVision InsuranceHealth InsuranceLife InsurancePaid time off, including Holidays
