Number of Positions: 1Salary: $115,000-$120,000Location: F. Donald Myers Education Center, Saratoga Springs Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:00pmProvides leadership and coordination for such procedures and methods as are necessary for the day to day operations of the Career and Technical Education Centers, while ensuring equitable educational opportunities for all students.Provides leadership in the development and implementation of a high quality and comprehensive, modern program of Career and Technical education;Coordinates the recruitment, employment, supervision and evaluation of Career and Technical Education staff at both centers in collaboration with the Director of Human Resources and the Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Programs;Supervises the program to ensure that students successfully completing a CTE program will have had an opportunity to learn employable job skills and competencies in the occupation for which they were educated;Supervises the program to ensure that students enrolled in CTE are placed in programs consistent with their interests, aptitudes and capabilities;Maintains close working relationships with community agencies and area businesses, industries and labor organizations;Establishes and provides oversight of advisory and consultant committees including purpose, organization and recommendations for membership;Works to identify and define job opportunities for students and provides guidance in the development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum and instructional services to meet identified job opportunities;Leads curriculum development in conjunction with Curriculum Coordinator;Supervises all CTE programs to ensure personnel comply with job related laws, state regulations, and BOCES policies;Responsible for CTE Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CNLA);Assists in planning for needed facilities;Maintains membership in and participates in the affairs of professional organizations devoted to Career and Technical education;Recommends the purchase of equipment and supplies; assists in the preparation of bid specifications;Provides leadership for the development of long term plans for the Career and Technical programs;Provide leadership for new CTE program initiatives;Provides leadership for the continual professional development of all CTE staff;Provides day-to-day support for CTE principals;Serves as a member of the CSO CTE Standing Committee;Serves as member of the Council of Administrators and Supervisors (CAS);Provides leadership for instructional cabinet meetings;Attends Administrative Cabinet meetings;Attends and participates in BOCES Board meetings as needed;Other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements:SDL or SDA;Experience with Career & Technical Education;Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply.
