West Islip School District has an opening for a Probationary High School Assistant Principal for the 2022–2023 school year. Qualifications include but are not limited to:Support the academic advancement of all students by being an instructional leader.Collaborate with the principal and high school administrative team to implement building vision.Collaborate with members of the administrative team in regard to best classroom/instructional practices.Collaborate with high school administrative team to ensure that school procedures and expectations are adhered to by all stakeholders.Observe and evaluate teaching staff.Support district technology initiatives. Effectively address disciplinary issues.Communicate in a timely manner with students, parents and staff in regard to all relevant matters. Adhere to district policies.
