Certification Required:Mathematics 7 - 12 Certificate Qualifications/Requirements: Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction for Middle School Mathematics, specifically covering Math 8 Curriculum and Algebra I (Regents) concepts. Design and implement diverse, student-centered learning experiences, effectively differentiating instruction to meet the needs of a diverse student population. Integrate a variety of instructional materials, manipulatives, technology tools, and real-world examples to deepen student comprehension and foster intellectual curiosity. Apply a strong working knowledge of the Next Generation Learning Standards and the Standards for Mathematical Practice to all instructional planning and delivery. Utilize data-driven instruction by analyzing student assessment results to inform and adjust instructional strategies, ensuring continuous improvement in student learning. Employ a variety of formative and summative assessments to continuously monitor student progress and understanding, providing timely feedback to guide mastery. Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and challenging learning environment that builds student confidence, motivation, and a foundational love for mathematics. Collaborate actively with the Math Department and grade-level colleagues to ensure consistent curriculum alignment, pacing, and instructional continuity. Establish and maintain open, regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress, academic needs, and strategies for at-home support.
