Job Details We are seeking a caring, collaborative, and student-centered Teacher Assistant who: Brings positive energy, patience, and enthusiasm to each day Builds strong, positive relationships with students Creates a welcoming and supportive environment where all students can succeed Works closely with teachers and staff to support student learning and growth Provides thoughtful instructional and behavioral support to individual students and small groups Supports struggling learners with patience, encouragement, and flexibility Helps create a strong sense of classroom community and belonging Advocates for student needs and celebrates student successes Is willing to learn new strategies and approaches to support students Communicates effectively with teachers, staff, and families Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates professionalism Brings a growth mindset and a willingness to learn and grow alongside our students What We Offer: A student-centered school community where relationships matter Small class sizes and a close-knit school community Supportive administration and collaborative staff Opportunities to work alongside experienced and dedicated educators Professional development and opportunities to grow your skills A school culture that values teamwork, inclusion, and student success The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students The chance to work in a welcoming rural setting where community matters Responsibilities: Provide instructional and behavioral support to students individually and in small groups Reinforce lessons, activities, and learning strategies under the direction of the classroom teacher Assist teachers with classroom preparation, organization, and instructional materials Support students during arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, and transitions as assigned Help students develop positive academic, social, and behavioral skills Encourage student independence, problem-solving, and perseverance Support classroom routines and contribute to a positive classroom culture Communicate and collaborate with teachers and other school personnel Maintain confidentiality and follow district policies and procedures Organize and maintain student information and data as directed Perform other related duties as assigned Required: High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students Ability to quickly develop positive and appropriate relationships with students Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude Commitment to supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students Completion of NYS Mandated Workshops. Preferred: Experience working with children Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs Experience working in a classroom or school setting Desire to learn, grow, and develop new skills References will be checked upon application.
