VOORHEESVILLE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICTVoorheesville, New York Notice of Vacancy Elementary Summer Skills Teachers for ELA and MathPart-Time Temporary, 4 hours a week The PositionThe Voorheesville Central School District has part-time, temporary positions for four NYS certified teachers to provide in-person instruction in elementary ELA and/or mathematics. The teachers will work with a small group of students 4 hours a week to provide instruction in content area skills. If applicant is employed by the Voorheesville CSD during the school year, the 2024-25 hourly rate will be used. If applicant is not a VCSD employee, the hourly rate will be based upon experience. QualificationsNew York State Teaching certificate preferred.Experience with elementary level curriculum preferred.Strong understanding of elementary level NYS Standards in ELA/math and comfort in providing differentiated instruction. General DutiesPlan instruction for the following areas: reading, writing, and/or mathematics. Literacy instruction will be anchored in 30-40 minutes of foundational literacy work (UFLI, Heggerty) and 20-30 min of reading.Deliver remediation and skill support in literacy and numeracyProvide small group instruction for 2 days a week, for four weeks in the summer.Administer assessments and maintain records for on-going progress monitoring.
