Responsibilities include delivering a developmental counseling program that supports students’ academic achievement, postsecondary planning, career exploration, and personal/social growth. The successful candidate will collaborate with students and families to provide academic guidance, college and career planning, and personal counseling support. In addition, this individual will serve as a consultant to faculty and community stakeholders to promote student success and well-being.Salary and Benefits per VTA contract.Qualifications Fully certified in New York State as a School Counselor. 2. There will be a background check and fingerprinting (as required by law). 3. Experience at the high school level preferred. 4. Detailed knowledge of comprehensive school counseling programs and practices. 5. Skilled in academic advisement, including all types of academic and social/emotional interventions. 6. Ability to work as part of both academic and crisis teams. 7. Experience with scheduling, master schedule development, grade reporting and student management systems. 8. Superior planning, organizational, time management and writing skills. 9. Excellent health, work habits, and employment attendance history.10.
