TITLE: BUSINESS & INDUSTRY TRAINER: CosmetologyPart-time, Hourly Position Location: T-S-T BOCES Campus1000 hour program offered as needed Adult Education DepartmentMust be able to explain and teach adult students from various backgrounds, cultures, ages andexperience levels and provide comprehensive Cosmetology instruction in theories and technicalapplications. The position involves teaching and evaluating students in concepts and salonprocedures as well as performing related work as required.DUTIES:Ability to communicate effectively with adult learners and to maintain good relationships withstaff and students.Ability to demonstrate competence in areas expected to teach.Ability to plan, organize and communicate quality instruction.Maintain student attendance records and NY State Board required records.Prepare lesson plans and activities; prepare and oversee student projects and salon operations.Administer text material exams and NY State Board mock examinations.Maintains safe and sanitary practices to be followed by all students, instructors, and internaland external guests.Attend scheduled meetingsMaintain and supervise proper use of products, supplies, implements, and equipment.QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess NYS Cosmetology License and 3 years of professional experience.START DATE: July 1, 2024 (Class times may vary with possible evenings, Saturdays and/or somedaytime classes scheduled – TBD.)SALARY: $44.22 per/hour.Contact Person: For further information, please contact Joe Palladino at 607-273-4095APPLICATION DEADLINE: June 15, 2024 or until filled
