TITLE: SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST, SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER, SCHOOL COUNSELOR Certified Position Full-Time, 10-Month, Permanent Position Affiliation: Teacher’s Association Exceptional Education Department Location: Smith School DUTIES: This is a position in a self-contained Exceptional Education program.Duties include, but are not limited to:Perform Functional Behavioral Assessments and facilitate Behavior Intervention PlansProvide, as appropriate, individual and group counseling, provide crisis management, participate in team meetings, provide training/support as neededFulfill documentation related to IEP requirements; participate in CSE meetings Proactively, work with student groups on SEL strategies and supports.Build connections with community resourcesWork with parents/guardians Responsible for evaluating students related to intellectual, behavioral, and social/emotional functioningAll other related duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS: New York State Certification as a School Psychologist OR New York State Certification as a School Social Worker is required. Additional Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred, or New York State Certification as a School Counselor preferred. In addition to one of the certifications listed above, BCBA certification also accepted and preferred. START DATE: September 5, 2023 SALARY: $52,000.00 (2022-2023 base salary), plus additional salary credit for appropriate prior experience, Master’s Degree and Grad Credits.
