PHYS-ED & HEALTH TEACHER Certified Position0.5, 10-Month + up to 20 days Affiliation: Teacher’s Association P-TECH Location: P-TECH, TC3 Campus P-TECH (Pathways in Technology Early College High School) offers an integrated high school and college curriculum emphasizing technology and STEAM through a Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach. Students gain both academic knowledge and workplace readiness, including soft skills and internship experience. Graduates earn a high school diploma and an accredited associates degree from Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3).DUTIES:Responsible for providing engaging High School Physical Education instruction to students at the TST P-TECH Academy located on the TC3 campus. Teacher will have freedom to prioritize content, design curricula and create an instructional space that meets the learning needs of our students. Develops supportive relationships with students, advances positive school culture and promotes attainment of academic goals. Must be a flexible, out of the box thinker who is able to work as a member of a small, supportive team of educators dedicated to alternative education and restorative practices. Experience teaching preferred by not required. Health certification is desired, but not mandatory.Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess New York State Teacher Certification Physical Education. Must be a team player, have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.START DATE: September 2, 2025.SALARY: $56,500 (2025-2026 base salary) plus additional salary credit for graduate credits, Master’s Degree and prior teaching experience (to be prorated to percentof time working .5 FTE).
