Tiegerman Preschool in Franklin Square is looking to hire Special Education Preschool Teachers for our program. Tiegerman is a 12 month program. This is a full time position (M-F 7:45AM-3:00PM; benefits eligible). Tiegerman is a 12 month programResponsibilities Include (but are not limited to):Supervise students in the classroom and all other areas of the school buildingRead, understand and implement each student’s Individualized Education PlanParticipate in the development of Individualized Education Plans to address the needs of individual students and annual CPSE/ transition meetingsOrganize curriculum and instruction around developmentally appropriate thematic unitsAdapt instruction and materials to meet the individual needs, strengths and interests of all studentsConduct ongoing assessment of student progressWrite and submit lesson plans, unit plans, annual classroom reports and other assigned paperwork in accordance with established guidelines and schedulesAdminister annual assessments to all students and accurately interpret and report test scoresManage student behavior in the classroom according to the established classroom management practices and Behavior Intervention PlansMaintain the confidentiality of student records and information in accordance with FERPA and school policiesReport incidentsParticipate in various staff meetings as scheduledTiegerman is an EEO and AA employer
