Tiegerman High School located in Richmond Hill, NY is looking for a Leave Replacement Speech Language Pathologist starting in January 2024. This is a temporary position with benefits. The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for working with students with speech/ communication difficulties, and feeding difficulties. The Speech-Language Pathologist reports directly to the Coordinator of Therapeutic Services. The Speech Language Pathologist is an exempt position. Certified in NYSED TSSLD and NYS SLP License preferred; CFY encouraged to also apply. Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Maintain and review student recordsEvaluate student progress and prepare reports that display their progressAssess the communication skills of the studentsPlan, organize and conduct speech and language therapy with students.Develop treatment plansMeet with parents and teachers to communicate information pertaining to the students’ individualized treatment planInstruct assigned support staff for the purpose of providing information on feeding plans and prescribed treatment plansProvide students, teachers, and families with written materials and documentationMake recommendations and referrals as neededResearch resources and treatment methods for the studentsMaintain professional training by attending workshopsPerform other job duties as assignedTiegerman is an EEO and AA employer.
