PRIMARY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Design, plan, and implement instructional professional learning opportunities for teachers, administrators, and staff for our regional districts.Research and instruct teachers and administrators on K-12 software supporting NYS and ISTE Standards PreK-12.Strong understanding of formative and benchmark assessments and the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS).Experience using online assessment systems (i.e., Renaissance, NWEA, i-Ready) and data dashboards and the importance the systems have in supporting differentiated learning .Coach teachers and administrators in face-to-face, online, and hybrid learning environments.Manage multiple initiatives and instructional plans across districts.Understand the core principles of the adult learning theory and apply this research to professional learning experiences.Work with cross-functional teams within the department and across the organization. CIVIL SERVICE QUALIFICATIONS:Either: (a) Associate's Degree* and four (4) years of experience where the primary function of the position was conducting training using educational technology**; or (b) Bachelor's Degree* and two (2) years of experience as outlined in (a); or (c) Master's Degree* and one (1) year of experience as outlined in (a).SUBSTITUTION: A Bachelor’s Degree* in Education and possession of current teacher’s certification may be substituted for one (1) year of the above stated required experienceDEFINITION: Educational technology is defined as a variety of technological tools (e.g., Smartboards, Internet, cable television in the classroom, DVD players, digitized video, personal computers and related equipment, such as scanners, printers, etc.) used in order to improve and enhance classroom instruction.Priority given to candidates who are currently on a Civil Service List for this title.Candidates must have either taken or be eligible to take the civil service exam for this title.
