Talks with students to identify problems, motivate those with problems to seek professional assistance or community services. Participate in group discussions with students to evaluate problems/concerns. Report observations to professional counseling staff. Liaison between students and their family also with the school gathering information and relaying information with all parties. Participates in staff meeting to discuss student problems and remedial plans, oral and written reports of concerning observations. Encourages acceptable behavior and attitudes with students. Visit students' homes or work to offer practical advice on resolving issues. Refers families to community agencies for services, maintains contact with community agencies to obtain information of all services available.
