FULL TIME POSITION AVAILABLE District Safety and Security Director EFFECTIVE - IMMEDIATELY MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Extensive experience in either Law Enforcement, School Crisis Response Planning, Security Management, Department of Defense, Homeland Security and/or Military Strong knowledge of current surveillance technology and security systems New York State Security License preferred or obtained upon appointment DUTIES: Districtwide oversight and supervision of safety and security operations and personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and implementation of internal procedures Plan and provide Emergency Response Planning to all staff Conduct performance evaluations for safety and security personnel Oversee the annual review and development of the district and building emergency response plans Conduct audits to identify safety and security risks; recommends and implements solutions Work collaboratively with administration and local, county and state law enforcement Collaborate with school personnel and law enforcement agencies that are responsible for protecting and securing the South Huntington school community Integrate current surveillance technology and updated systems to support district wide safety Maintain strict confidentiality regarding district procedures and student information Review, revise, maintain, and implement safety and security policies and procedures SCHEDULE: Full time- 12-month position SALARY: Consulting agreement; $125,000 annual salary To apply, please submit a job specific cover letter and resume by March 9, 2023
