NON-INSTRUCTIONAL POSITION AVAILABLEASSISTANT HEAD COOKWHITMAN SOUTH CAFETERIAEFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 2024HOURS: 6:00am - 2:00pm (7.5hrs per day – plus 1/2 hr. unpaid lunch)RESPONSIBILITIES: Assistant Head cook with the following: Managing kitchen with a minimum ofdirect supervision; supervising food service workers in kitchen and servingareas; assigning personnel to individual tasks, work stations and shifts;requisitioning and inventory of foodstuffs, supplies and equipment; writing adaily work plan, preparing meals.Manage hallway kiosks during breakfastManage inventory for snack roomsResponsible for maintenance of all snack room equipment.QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to replace Head Cook in the event of his/her absence and mustpossess the following qualifications: Ability to plan, coordinate and supervisefood service personnel: Ability to keep accurate records and make reports.Must have knowledge of daily food requirements and “portion control”;should have full knowledge of all jobs under his/her directive. Must haveFood Manager's Certificate and have experience in the preparation of food fora commercial establishment. Time management is extremely important.SALARY: $26.14/hr.
