Long Term Substitute Rate and/or as per STA contract: $38,919.00. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:NYS Certifications in English Language Arts 7-12 and/or Literacy 5-12.NYS Certifications in Elementary Education or Reading. Applicants must be appropriately certified prior to the start of employment.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:Experience with engaging students in a small group setting who have varying instructional needs.Knowledge and experience in middle school English Language Arts/Literacy instruction.Knowledge of Google Classroom and instructional technology.Involvement in appropriate State and national organizations.Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with colleagues, administration and parents.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities.Bilingual communication skills preferred.APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO HOLD A CURRENT TEACHING CERTIFICATIONApplicants with Teaching Assistant certification cannot be considered.
