MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Probationary Teacher Assistant : NYS Certification in Earth Science is required. LT Leave Replacement Teacher Assistant : NYS Certification in Biology is required. Applicants must be appropriately certified prior to the start of employment DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with NYS Science Learning Standards for Life Science. Knowledge of pedagogical strategies to support student learning. Previous Science teaching experience preferred. Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with others. Knowledge of Google Classroom and instructional technology. Bilingual communication skills preferred.
