Schroon Lake School District, located in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains and only 30 minutes north of Lake George, is a small district of about 235 students in PreK-12. The District is seeking two highly skilled Elementary Teachers with a passion for teaching and learning. These are full-time, tenure track, probationary positions. Applications must include a resume, cover letter, unofficial transcripts, copy of certification(s), and reference letters. Certification(s) required. Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Beginning salary with Master's degree is approximately $55,000. Job Description:1. Plan culturally responsive, rigorous and differentiated lessons/units aligned with NYS Next Generation Standards.2. Implement various teaching strategies to facilitate learning amongst diverse learners. 3. Provide regular feedback to students and their families to encourage personal growth.4. Embrace student strengths and needs to create a learning environment that is highly responsive, engaging and relevant to students.5. Work collaboratively with school leaders, teachers, related service providers, support staff, students, and families to ensure all students succeed.Applications due by May 15, 2024.
