The Education Director is responsible for day to day operations and overall program development, implementation, and evaluation of the TORCH Annex Program. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferredThis position pays $95,000 with a $3,000 sign-on bonusDuties and Responsibilities:Maintains on-going communication with CPSE administrators.Review the special education referral packets for admission to program.Provide tours to potential enrollees and their family.Monitor the timeliness of the Annual Review and Turning-5 process to ensure compliance with NYS Education Department RegulationsMonitor the implementation of IEPsResponsible for school management, supervision, and evaluation of staff.Monitor the related service providers’ schedule.Responsible for curriculum development and its implementationProvide learning opportunities for staff.Seek out, evaluate, and introduce, if appropriate, new educational programs and techniques.Is the COVID-19 Safety Coordinator.Conducts daily Health inspections.Coordinate day to day transportation.Develop and maintain effective communications with parents.Serve as member of Inter-disciplinary Team, Intake Committee and Clinical Team.Represent school at meetings with outside agencies, school districts, etc.Qualification Requirements: School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS) Certificate or School District Administrator (SDA) Certificate, or School Building Leader (SBL) CertificateNew York State Certification in Early Childhood EducationAt least (2) two years of full-time valid experience in a classroom teaching children less than six years of age and in Special Education
