The Aide assists the Special Education Teacher in carrying out social, cognitive, behavioral and instructional objectives set forth in the child's I.E.P.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):• Assists child in daily activities• Prepares instructional-materials as-directed by teacher• Monitors/oversees student’s instruction, meal time, bathroom breaks, etc.• Meets and escorts student to and from the busesEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or EquivalentOne –two years experience working with special education students preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAble to provide physical “hands on” intervention when necessaryAble to lift a child weighing 40 pounds'
