Job Summary:Perform psychological services and various administrative and coordinating functions as a memberof the inter-disciplinary team.Duties & Responsibilities:Administer psychological tests, including a parent interview as part of the in-take process.· Prepare social/emotional IEP goals as part of the intake process.· Interview and observe students in consultation with teaching staff in order to develop a behavior management plan for individual students.· Provide on-going individual, group and family counseling including outreach services if necessary.· Maintains records of each counseling session.· Prepares social/emotional goals along with updated reports for all children seen in counseling sessions.· Submits behavior plans and 12-month rationales as needed.· Supervises and participates in Crisis Intervention.· Interprets psychological and neurological data from outside agencies for the classroom teacher and clinical team.· Participates in multi-disciplinary clinical evaluation team.· Develops training workshops for staff and parents on child development, behavior management in the home, etc.· Submits all reports in a timely manner.· Attends staff meetings, team meetings and performs other administrative tasks at the request of the Director.· Represents school at meetings with outside agencies. Education & ExperienceNew York State Certification – School Psychologist with Bilingual Extension.
